an ode to (no)body– an ode to everything in between numbness and clarity, where bodies dissolve, merge, disintegrate and get swallowed by the water. in dissonant sounds a trialogue is formed, a conversation about pain and relief, about loss and everything that was thought to be lost. a video installation on a semi-transparent plane below the projection of an artificial ocean.
greek: thalassa θάλασσα (ocean) greek: Τάλως, Tálōs (artificial bronze giant „automaton“, protecting europa in crete from pirates and invaders, circling the island three times a day)
the animated oceans place the body of water in a larger context. on the one hand, oceans can be calming, but at the same time they can also be frightening, of thalassophobia and beguiling. the ambivalence of the oceans reflects the ambiguous feeling of the body, which is discussed in an ode to (no)body, among other things. the ocean symbolizes the digital mass whose depth can no longer be seen on the surface.

„façade” is a film rooted in my studies from a prompt to create a historical impressionist 5-minute-short; what you‘re looking at now is what i made out of the few scenes i was able to shoot. due to many things going wrong, i hereby present you some kind of a „plan f“ of my original idea: a slightly surreal, abstract impressionist short film featuring an all original soundtrack. „façade” circles around the subject of younger generations tending to wanting to leave their options open, resulting in not pursuing anything at all and seeing their real life drift by. a film on waiting, missing out and choosing psychosis.
this is version „α“ a rework is planned.
